The sparkling dewdrops sprinkle lawn. And in my garden where the flowers grow. I remember my God planted one long ago. For He once walked at cool of day. And called to Adam and Eve along the way. But they had sinned and need pardon. And God drove them from Eden’s garden. I stroll in my garden while the birds sing. I see snowdrops; daffodils welcome spring. All new life that I can see. Reminds there is new birth for me. I kneel to weed beneath sky of blue. And remember Jesus kneeled in a garden too. I wonder if His tears sprinkled the flowers. As he prayed alone in those darkest hours. I see the beauty of a rose. My Lord is lovelier than one of those. And the lily growing fair. Its beauty to Him cannot compare. I jag myself on the prickly thorn. My Lord crowned with those on crufixion morn. He whispers to me when I toil. My words of life will flourish in the good soil. His beauty is in each flower I see. There is no place where I would rather be. For I am nearer to Him who gives me pardon. When I worship Him there in my beautiful garden. DEWDROPS OF REFRESHMENT I walked in glow of early dawn. Tread sparkling dewdrops on the lawn. Listened to the sweet blackbird song. As eager feet carried me along. Around the pleasant flowering bed. Where thoughts of wonder filled my head. When I saw such beauty in a flower. In the morning sun of soft hushed hour. Above the drone of industrious bee. A gentle voice seemed to speak to me. Consider that flower and be content. That my love for you is Heaven sent. The flower drinks of dewdrops in early light. I kiss its face with sunshine bright. The beauty of its petal garment that you see. Is woven by my hand and clothed by me. And for you my child much more I care. Than delicate flower that’s blooming there. For I watch and see and from far above. Clothe you in the garments of my pure love. My blessings sweet I bestow to you. And refresh you with them like the morning dew. Then the voice was silent in the early morn. As I stood in the wakening of new day born. And considered all the voice had said. Its planted thoughts grew in my head. Then knew in that moment of sun rising hour. God's dewdrops had kissed to help me flower. THE GARDEN GATE... When a garden gate may close. On the lily and the rose. When gardeners will be gone. No more to mow the lawn. No more to sow the seed. Or tidy, prune and weed. A garden will be left to its fate. In the final closing of its gate. The lily will bow its head and the rose will shed a tear. When the gate is finally shut and no one will appear. The grass will get longer for there is no one to mow. Border flowers will be choked as weeds gleefully grow. Soon to be a wilderness, a tangled mess of weeds. No one comes along to tend to a garden’s needs. But there is a Gardener who is ready to make a start. To rid you of weeds and dwell in the garden of your heart. He brings love and redemption, of sins He will pardon. Take His nail scarred hand and He will lead you to His garden. Journey with Him now although the way is narrow, strait. And some day you will go through His Golden Garden Gate. | |

What an awesome way to glorify God! To take what he gives us, and nurture and love it until it takes one's breath away with its beauty. You've done a great job, Colin. I'm sure you enjoy it.
Thank you for opening your garden gate to your friends. I hope to see the rest trickle in when they have time. Blessings, Debbie |
